The 1998/99 season remains the most celebrated campaign in Manchester United’s history. Under Sir Alex Ferguson, the club achieved an extraordinary Treble by winning the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

United secured the Premier League title on the final day of the season after a tight race with Arsenal. The squad featured a powerful mix of experienced leaders and emerging stars including Roy Keane, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

In attack, Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole formed one of the most prolific strike partnerships in Europe, helping drive United through domestic and European competitions throughout the season.

The FA Cup was won with a 2–0 victory over Newcastle United at Wembley, before the season reached its unforgettable climax in the Champions League final in Barcelona.

Trailing Bayern Munich late in the game, Manchester United scored twice in stoppage time through Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær to secure the trophy and complete the historic Treble.

While the famous red home shirt is most often associated with that season, the black third kit formed part of the club’s kit lineup during the campaign and remains a distinctive design from one of the greatest years in football history.
